B.G. Magogotya

Mr Magogotya is actively involved in skills development training. He is currently serving as Western Cape Province provincial secretary for the house of traditional leaders under chairpersonship of chief Galada. He has a long standing history of community involvement. Mr Magogotya was instrumental in some housing projects in the West Coast.

Prof R.W.E. van der Wal

The prof van der Wal holds many years of experience in lecturing at university of South Africa. Amongst others he was Business Studies professor at Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg) where he was moderator of numerous doctorate collegians. The professor brings with him invaluable knowledge and even though retired, he is actively involved in the community, especially with disabled persons.

M.J. Stowe (sc)

Mr Stowe is a semi-retired senior council and to this day, is actively involved in assisting fisherman on the West Coast and Cape Town Region. He is a businessman who holds the plight of previously disadvantaged communities, especially fishermen, close to his heart. Mr. Stowe brings invaluable experience to the table and primarily assists the board of directors with matters concerning compliance in terms of relevant broadcasting legislation.

C. Moodley

Ms Moodley brings with her invaluable corporate experience. She served as senior project secretary for ESKOM’s engineering department and was a key player in the team who redressed the national electricity crisis. She continues to be involved in the community and carries extensive experience in events management and public relations. Ms Moodley was a shop steward for the National Union of Mineworkers (NUMSA); and also served as arbitrator for the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).

F.B. Julius (ceo)

Mr Julius is the person who founded Radio West Coast in 1997. He was the driving force behind the ICASA and Dept. Communication application processes and was serving the community as a teacher and later as school principal. He is currently serving as the chief executive officer of the organisation, tasked with the improvement of the broadcast product and service. Under his leadership, the stations transmission power was increased from 300Watt to 5 Kw and he is now responsible for overseeing the day-to-day overseeing of activities within the broadcaster.
